Mike Rippey began their work experience in 1989 as a Maint. Lead at IBP INC, where they were responsible for maintenance and night shift plant management in a beef packing plant. Mike worked in various areas of maintenance and assisted mechanics. In 1999, they joined Darigold as an Engineer - Advanced in the Operations Division. Mike'sresponsibilities included maintenance planning and scheduling at a food manufacturing plant, as well as managing public drinking water operations and cross connection management.

Mike Rippey has a diverse education history. From 1989 to 1994, they attended IBP: TCP - IP industrial engineering and obtained a Certificate in All aspects of industrial maintenance. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1981, they attended Meridian High School where they focused on Vo-tech auto mechanics, welding, and Community Ed electronics. In addition to their formal education, Mike Rippey has also earned several certifications. In 2015, they obtained an RETA CIRO industrial refrigeration certification from RETA and ANSI. In 2014, they obtained a Back Flow Assembly Testing certification from the State of Idaho, and also a Drinking Water Distribution Operator Very Small System certification from the same institution.
