Aryea Aranoff has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.
Aryea started their career as a Teacher at the Abraham Joshua Heschel School in 2003, where they taught 7th and 8th grade students and developed new curricula. From 2005 to 2007, Aryea worked as a Program Director at the National Jewish Council for Disabilities.
In 2008, Aryea interned at HSBC, where they monitored market risk and developed risk models for trading in emerging market derivatives and mortgage-backed securities. They then joined Rodman & Renshaw as a Senior Associate from 2009 to 2011.
From 2011 to 2013, Aryea worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate, where they advised top US banks on operational and strategic opportunities. They developed models for optimizing operations and capturing cost savings opportunities.
In 2013, Aryea became the Chief Strategy Officer at Laurel Road / Darien Rowayton Bank (previously known as DRB Student Loan). They built the student loan online consumer lending platform from scratch to a $1B+ annual volume run rate. Aryea held this role until 2018.
From 2018 to 2019, Aryea worked as a Principal at Metropolitan Partners Group, specializing in financing capital-intensive small and mid-sized businesses in the US.
In 2019, Aryea joined West Side Advisors as a Lender, and in 2021, they joined DR Bank as a Strategy Officer.
Aryea Aranoff completed an MBA in Finance at The Wharton School from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Columbia University from 1999 to 2002 and earned a BA in Religion. Aryea Aranoff also obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in April 2014.
