Sam Long has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Sam is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Darcy Partners since June 2022 and as a Co-Founder at Outpost Companies since January 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Sam worked as a Vice President at Pacific Lake Partners from October 2018 to December 2021. Sam also gained valuable experience at Goldman Sachs, where they served as an Investment Banking - Summer Associate in June 2017 and as part of the Investment Banking - Veterans Integration Program from March 2016 to May 2016.

Before transitioning to the finance industry, Sam worked as the Operations Director at an energy technology accelerator from January 2015 to September 2015. Sam began their professional career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an Infantry Officer, Captain from May 2009 to January 2015.

Sam Long earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy in 2009. In 2010, they pursued further studies at the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in International Relations. From 2016 to 2018, Sam attended Harvard Business School, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
