Marc Magill has a diverse work experience. Marc started their career at KPMG Ireland as an Associate Audit Director, where they worked with clients from various industries. Marc'sresponsibilities included Client Asset Reporting, Accounting for Public Finance Initiatives, and Whole of Government Accounts consolidations. In 2016, they joined Danske Bank UK as the Head of Financial Governance & External Reporting. In this role, they were responsible for Financial Control, Capital Risk Governance, Regulatory Reporting Governance, Pension Risk Governance, Corporation Tax, and VAT. Marc was also a key member of the Bank's leadership team. Additionally, Marc has served as a School Governor at both Crawfordsburn Primary School and Towerview Primary School. Marc worked closely with the principals, staff, parents, and pupils to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the schools in providing quality education. Furthermore, Marc has served as a Non-Executive Director, Trustee, and Treasurer at Parenting NI since 2012.
Marc Magill completed their education at various institutions over the years. In 1999, they began their undergraduate studies in Accounting at Ulster University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Advanced Accounting at Ulster University from 2002 to 2003. Finally, Marc attended Chartered Accountants Ireland from 2003 to 2005, where they became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. In January 2018, they obtained the additional certification of "Fellow of the Institute" from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
