Himanshu Kumar, Ph.D, currently serves as an Hon. Adjunct Professor/Docent in the Faculty of Medicine at Turun yliopisto - University of Turku since March 2020, while also functioning as a Senior Scientist at Danone Nutricia Research since March 2017, where the focus is on the microbiome's role in health and disease within Early Life Nutrition and Advanced Medical Nutrition fields. Previously, Himanshu held a Post Doctoral fellow position at Turun yliopisto from January 2013 to February 2017, specializing in Gut Microbiota and Host-Microbe dynamics, along with consulting on microbial culture collection at the National Center for Cell Science, where molecular identification of probiotic Lactobacillus spp. was a primary responsibility. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Probiotics and Host Microbe Interaction from Savitribai Phule Pune University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from National Law School of India University, a Master’s degree in Microbiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya.
