Søren Lejsgaard Autrup has extensive work experience in the field of economics and monetary policy. Søren has held various roles at Danmarks Nationalbank, starting as an Economist in 2015 and progressing to become an Advisor and then the Head of Monetary and Macro Financial Analysis in 2018. In these positions, they have analyzed monetary policy stance, developed tools for policy analysis, and worked on strengthening analytical capabilities. Autrup also worked as an Economist at the European Central Bank from 2012 to 2014, where they focused on unconventional monetary policy measures and market-based inflation expectations. Søren has also worked as an External Consultant for The World Bank, producing a paper on capital market solutions for dealing with corporate debt in the post-COVID economy. Autrup's other work experience includes roles as a Portfolio Management Expert at the European Central Bank and an Assistant Stock Analyst at Alm Brand. Søren began their career as a Student Assistant at the Ministry of Finance of Denmark.
Søren Lejsgaard Autrup began their education in 2003 at the University of Copenhagen, also known as Københavns Universitet. Søren pursued a degree in Economics and successfully completed it in 2009, earning the title of cand.polit. Afterward, in 2007, Autrup attended UC San Diego for a year, focusing on Economics as a non-degree student.
