Daniel Canning has extensive work experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the areas of payments, remittances, and marketing. Daniel started their career at Avery Dennison as a Market Development Manager, where they conducted market research and managed key retail accounts. Daniel then joined Western Union, where they held various leadership positions including Vice President of Money Transfer, Vice President of Product Management, and Vice President of Marketing, among others. At Western Union, they led the development and execution of business strategies and marketing communication strategies, resulting in revenue growth and successful product launches.
In 2017, Daniel joined Digicel Group as the CEO of Diaspora, where they led the global cross-border mobile top-up and payments business. Daniel implemented various strategies such as brand relaunch, product reconfiguration, and cross promotions, which led to significant growth and increased revenue.
After their tenure at Digicel, Daniel worked at WorldRemit, where they served as the Managing Director for North America and later as the Managing Director for the Americas. Daniel was responsible for leading the commercial operations in the region, managing headquarters, and overseeing business expansion.
Most recently, Daniel joined Dandelion Payments as the Managing Director. Daniel'swork experience reflects their expertise in business leadership, strategy development, product management, marketing, and driving revenue growth.
Daniel Canning holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Daniel also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
