Dave Batiste is an accomplished software developer with extensive experience in creating and enhancing user experiences through innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as a Principal Software Developer at D2L since February 2009, Dave focuses on developing and promoting high-quality components while mentoring fellow developers in the Brightspace platform. Previous positions include Senior Software Developer at D2L, where Dave specialized in front-end development, accessibility, and responsive design, as well as Senior Software Engineer at Medworxx, where contributions included the development of CMS and LMS systems. Earlier in the career, Dave worked as a Technical Analyst at Sun Life Financial, managing web development and system integration projects. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geochemistry from the University of Waterloo, obtained in 1998.
