AJ Ece Karakus is a Senior UX Researcher at D2L since September 2019, leading research programs that shape product roadmapping and strategy for administrator segments. Prior roles include User Experience Researcher and Product Designer at D2L, where collaboration with product managers and development teams ensured alignment of business and technical needs. Experience as a freelancer involved conducting user interviews and usability testing to identify and address user pain points. Previous positions also include a restaurant team member at Tim Hortons and an undergraduate research assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, focusing on emotional robots. AJ Ece Karakus holds a Master of Engineering in System Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, along with a minor in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Bilgi University.
