Salman Azhar is a highly experienced Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer with a comprehensive background in managing complex machinery and projects in the energy sector. Currently employed at the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group since July 2015, Salman oversees a diverse portfolio that includes 20 gas turbine compressors and 21 gas engines, focusing on plant risk assessments and design reviews. Previous roles include Rotating Equipment Engineer for the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline at DBP, and Mechanical Engineer at OMV, where major projects involved the commissioning of gas turbine-driven compression facilities and system modifications for Ariel gas compressors. Salman also held key positions at Wärtsilä, contributing to the commissioning of significant combined cycle power plants, and started a career as a Service Engineer at Allied Engineering & Services. A mechanical engineer by education, Salman graduated from NED University of Engineering and Technology in 2002.
