Candice Cogburn is an experienced Program Specialist at the Dallas Public Library since May 2021, focusing on community needs and program development. Candice has previously served as a Circulation Specialist, providing information assistance, and as a Youth Services Library Assistant, conducting live storytimes. Additionally, Candice has worked as a Poll Worker for the Dallas County Elections Department and participated in advocacy training as a Youth Power Fellow at Planned Parenthood Texas Votes. Previous roles include an Animal Care Associate at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Barista at Starbucks, and various positions in event management and performance support. Candice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Performance from The University of Texas at Dallas and an Associate degree in Library Technology from Tarrant County College.
