Amy Floyd, MS, currently serves as the Head of Beekeeper Relations for North America at Dalan Animal Health, Inc. since March 2022, after holding the positions of Regional Manager and Field Technician within the same company. Prior experience includes working as a Biological Science Technician at the USDA Agricultural Research Service from June 2019 to March 2022, where research focused on honey bee hive management and the effects of toxins on queens. Amy also served as a Laboratory Technician, conducting research on honey bee nutrition and pathogens. During a graduate program at the University of Arizona from August 2017 to May 2019, Amy's thesis concentrated on a brood disease known as European foulbrood. Previous roles include a Pathways Student Trainee at USDA ARS and an Assistant to the Project Manager at the Steward Observatory. Amy holds a Master of Science in Entomology and Insect Science and a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Natural Resources from the University of Arizona.
