Marc Hanley has worked in various roles since 2010. Marc started as a Sales Assistant and Administrator at In2Games in 2010. Marc then worked as a Crew Member at McDonald's in 2012, followed by a role as an Origin Energy Sales Representative at Salmat in the same year. In 2017, they worked as an Intern at Media Sociale. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Software Engineer at Ascender HCM, where they were responsible for the design, development and unit-testing of the Preceda eBiz frontend, written in Javascript using the ExtJS framework as a base. Marc also established, maintained and socialised the practice of continuous integration (CI) within the eBiz team and was a founding and core member of the Code Quality Commission (CQC). Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Daitum.

Marc Hanley attended Mount Gambier High School from 2005 to 2010. Marc then continued their education at Flinders University, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Computer Science in the field of Computer Science.
