Orrin Schwarz currently serves as the Sports Editor at Daily Herald Media Group since October 2023, overseeing sports coverage for high school, college, and professional events in a daily newspaper based in the Chicago suburbs. Prior to this role, Orrin held the position of Business Editor at Daily Herald Suburban Business from September 2020 to October 2023, managing business-related news for both the Daily Herald Business Ledger and the Daily Herald newspaper. Orrin’s extensive experience at Daily Herald Media Group began in May 1999, where as Assistant Sports Editor for DuPage County, responsibilities included designing local sports pages and managing a team of writers. Before joining Daily Herald, Orrin worked as Assistant Sports Editor at The Times of Northwest Indiana, focusing on copy editing and page design that garnered APSE awards. Orrin holds a BA in English and History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts in American History from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
