Evan Hughes is an experienced scientist specializing in DNA oligonucleotide synthesis and next-generation sequencing technologies. Currently serving as a Scientist II at Daicel Arbor Biosciences since April 2022, responsibilities include developing molecular probes for fluorescence in situ hybridization cytogenetics and hybridization capture for target enrichment. Prior experience includes research scientist roles at Integrated DNA Technologies and Swift Biosciences, focusing on next-generation sequencing library preparation, RNA sequencing, and amplicon sequencing. Additionally, Evan contributed to gene expression profiling in various cell culture models during tenure at the University of Michigan, holding positions as both a Research Laboratory Specialist and Technician. Evan holds a Master of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Grand Valley State University.
