Ruud Bons has a robust background in physical education and sports management, serving as a docente lichamelijke opvoeding at DaCapo College since August 2001, during which tenure included roles as decaan from 2007 to 2021, teamleider from 2008 to 2017, and examensecretaris from 2012 to 2021. Prior to this, Ruud Bons worked as an advisor and project leader at Symbiose unit sport from 1996 to 2001, and as a beleidsmedewerker technische zaken at Judo Bond Nederland from 1990 to 1996. The career in education and sports began with a role as a LO/Sportinstructeur in the Koninklijke Landmacht from 1985 to 1990. Ruud Bons holds a Bachelor's degree in Lichamelijke Opvoeding from the Katholieke Academie voor Lichamelijke Opvoeding Tilburg, completed from 1980 to 1985, following secondary education at Sint Michiel Lyceum Geleen from 1975 to 1980.
