David Bates is an experienced manual tester with a diverse background in software testing across various sectors, predominantly in the energy industry. Currently employed at D55 Limited since September 2021, David focuses on testing energy sector software for Ensek Ltd. Previous roles include test engineering positions at Landis+Gyr, where involvement in the SMETS2 Smart Gas Metering project took place, as well as at Eon Energy, where David conducted end-to-end testing for SMETS2 projects. Additional experience includes general web testing for Kaspersky at Building Blocks and a tenure at MBNA Canada, where David concentrated on regression testing for credit card account websites. David's academic background includes a degree from Birmingham City University, completed between 1994 and 1997.
