John Rego

Instructional Coach at D-BAT Academies

John Rego has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. John began their career in 2019 as an Assistant Coach for the Ft. Lauderdale Knights in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League, where they primarily worked with pitchers and catchers. In 2020, they served as a Sports Data Analyst/Scouting intern at Perfect Game USA, where they maintained scores and entered statistics using various software programs.

In 2021, John worked as a Student Assistant at the ASUN Conference until 2023. During this time, they gained experience in supporting various aspects of conference operations.

In 2022, they joined the University of North Florida as an Athletic Communication and ESPN+/SID Intern. There, they acted as the primary communications representative for the North Florida Baseball and Softball teams, coordinating media availability and producing game notes and media guides.

In the same year, they also worked as an Instructional Coach at D-BAT Academies, where they honed their coaching skills.

Most recently in 2023, John served as a Communications and Media Relations Intern at the New England Collegiate Baseball League Inc. John was responsible for writing press releases, enhancing the league's digital media presence, and contributing to social media platforms.

John Rego began their education at LaGrange College in 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Sports Management. John completed their studies at LaGrange College in 2021.

In 2021, John Rego enrolled at the University of North Florida, pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management. John is expected to complete their degree at the University of North Florida in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, John Rego obtained two certifications. In September 2022, they completed the "Becoming an Ally to All" certification offered by LinkedIn. John also completed the "Unlocking Authentic Communication in a Culturally-Diverse Workplace" certification from LinkedIn in the same month and year.

Looking ahead, John Rego plans to continue their education and enroll in The University of Alabama to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management starting in 2023. The end year for their master's degree program is not provided.
