Alexandra Hyler, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Alexandra is currently the VP & CSO at CytoRecovery, Inc. since May 2018. Prior to this, they served as the President of the Graduate Student Assembly at Virginia Tech Graduate School from January 2017 to May 2018, where they worked to enhance the graduate student experience through collaboration with university administration and external entities. From August 2013 to May 2018, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, leading a multi-disciplinary team in investigating the ovarian cancer microenvironment and fluid motion for earlier detection. In June 2016, Hyler worked as a Teacher at the Virginia Tech Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity, where they engaged middle school and high school students in biotechnology experiments and activities. Alexandra also gained experience as a Project Engineer intern at Hill's Pet Nutrition in 2012, where they developed energy savings projects.
Alexandra Hyler, PhD, has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Kansas. Alexandra obtained this degree, although the specific start and end years are not provided. Alexandra later went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech, completing their studies between 2013 and 2018. In addition, they hold a certification as an Engineer in Training, which was obtained in May 2013 from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
