Yu-Waye Chu serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at CytomX Therapeutics since July 2023. Prior to this role, Yu-Waye held various significant positions at Fate Therapeutics Inc from April 2019 to July 2023, including Chief Medical Officer, Senior Vice President of Clinical Development, and Vice President of Clinical Development. Yu-Waye's experience at Genentech (January 2009 - April 2019) includes roles such as Associate Group Medical Director for Product Development Oncology and research programs involving bispecific antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates. Yu-Waye's early career involved substantial work at the National Cancer Institute, focusing on immune reconstitution and pediatric stem cell transplantation, alongside clinical training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and UCLA Children's Hospital. Yu-Waye holds an MD with Distinction in Research from the University of Rochester and a BA in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
