Farooq Nomani

Farooq Nomani's work experience begins in 2002 when they worked as a journalist for the Ohio Wesleyan campus newspaper. Farooq then served as a student advisor on the Ohio Wesleyan University Judicial Board from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, they also worked as a discussion leader for Great Decisions, where they mediated high school students in discussions on American foreign policy.

From 2004 to 2007, Farooq worked as a paralegal at Vellani & Vellani Advocates, where they drafted summaries of legislation and assisted in High Court proceedings. Farooq then volunteered as a paralegal at Blackfriar's Settlement Legal Advice Clinic, conducting telephone consultations with low-income clients and providing advice on settlements and civil litigation.

Farooq started their career at Orr, Dignam & Co. in 2008 as an associate, advising private and public companies on corporate and commercial transactional issues. Farooq also helped establish limited companies and non-profits. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a volunteer attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, advising low-income clients on consumer debt and housing issues.

In 2015, Farooq joined Stemcentrx, Inc. as a legal consultant, managing the company's contractual workload, coordinating clinical trial agreements, and recording key terms. Farooq then moved to CytomX Therapeutics in 2016, working as a corporate counsel.

Throughout their career, Farooq has gained experience in contract management, legal consulting, and advising clients on various legal matters.

Farooq Nomani's education history shows a progression of academic achievements in the field of law. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Politics and minoring in English. Farooq then pursued further education at City, University of London from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law. Farooq continued their legal studies at City University London: Inns of Court School of Law from 2006 to 2007, completing the Bar Vocational Course. Additionally, in May 2014, they became a licensed attorney through the State Bar of California.
