Alan D. Agulnick has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Alan D. is currently a Co-Founder and CSO at CytoHub, Inc. since May 2023. Alan D. previously served as VP, Head of PSC Process Development at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. from February 2022 to March 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Cell Therapy at 4:59 NewCo, a 5AM Ventures Company, from August 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining 4:59 NewCo, Agulnick worked at ViaCyte for a significant period of time. Alan D. held the role of Director, Cell Engineering from January 2016 to August 2021, and prior to that, they served as a Distinguished Scientist from January 2014 to December 2015. Alan D. started their tenure at ViaCyte as a Principal Scientist from January 2005 to December 2013.

Agulnick began their career at CyThera, Inc. as a Senior Scientist from January 2001 to December 2004. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Riverside from October 1998 to December 2000.
