Anne Willis has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Anne started their career as an Advocacy Program Fellow at the National Cancer Institute/Office of Advocacy Relations in 2005. From 2006 to 2011, they served as the Director of Survivorship Programs at the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and also held a position as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
In 2011, Anne joined the George Washington University Cancer Institute, where they held various roles, including Director of the Division of Cancer Survivorship and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Cancer Survivorship, Navigation & Policy. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Director of Patient-Centered Programs at the institute.
Anne then moved to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2015, where they held multiple roles. Anne started as the Director of Patient Access Programs and later became the Senior Director of Patient Access Programs. In their role, they led the CF Foundation Compass program, which helped people with cystic fibrosis navigate insurance and other issues related to life with CF. Anne also expanded the program's scope and developed new tools and resources. Additionally, they launched the Access Steering Committee and Food Security Committee, addressing social determinants of health.
Currently, Anne serves as the Senior Director of Health System Innovation and Navigation at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a role they have held since 2020. In this position, they lead the foundation's programmatic portfolio related to addressing access barriers to care. Anne has achieved notable accomplishments, including launching and expanding the Compass program, addressing social determinants of health, and pioneering health services research on access barriers to care. Anne is also involved in the foundation's racial justice efforts.
