Erica Mason is an experienced professional in youth and family services, currently serving as the Assistant Division Director at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation since November 2015, where significant achievements include overseeing the expansion of the Ready Readers literacy program to seven elementary school sites and managing a team of literacy coordinators. Prior to this role, Erica served as Literacy Manager, creating and implementing literacy programs funded by the Brooke Astor Foundation, and providing extensive training for various educational staff. From September 2011 to November 2015, Erica worked as an Educational Consultant at The Child Center of NY, contributing to the development of an Extended Learning Time program. Erica's career also includes a role at LeAp, where oversight of the Manager of Mentorship Program and support for teaching artists were key responsibilities. Erica holds a Master of Science in Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Urban Studies from Fordham University.
