Steve Meckl serves as the Senior Vice President of Security Operations at Cyderes since April 2023. Prior to this role, Steve worked at Google as the Head of Operations for Autonomic Security Operations, where the mission focused on enhancing global threat management capabilities. Steve's extensive experience includes leadership positions at Accenture as Managing Director for Global Operations in Managed Detection and Response, and at Norton LifeLock as Senior Director of Global CSS Operations, overseeing cybersecurity services for major sectors. Steve has also held significant roles at Symantec, including Director of MSS Operations and Director of Americas Incident Response, emphasizing innovative threat detection and incident management. The foundation of Steve's expertise was built during a decade-long tenure at the FBI, culminating as Unit Chief in the Cyber Division, where leadership involved developing technical operations and incident response strategies. Steve holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's in Information Security and Assurance from George Mason University, as well as a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
