David Neel has a strong work experience in the IT industry. David started their career in 1990 as a Network Specialist at Saint Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital. David then worked as a Senior Network Engineer at The Future Now, followed by a role as a Network Engineer at KiZAN Technologies. In 1996, they joined Sarcom as a Senior Network Engineer before moving on to become the Owner of CyberTek Engineering in 1997. In the same year, they also became the Chief Technology Officer at CyberTek MSSP. Additionally, they have spoken as a Conference Speaker at MSP World in 2017.

David Neel earned a BS degree in Economics and Computer Science from Indiana University Southeast from 1983 to 1987. David also obtained an AS degree in Computer Science from Waldorf College from 1981 to 1983. Prior to their college education, they attended Floyd Central for an unspecified period. In terms of certifications, David Neel received multiple certifications including CISA and CSX from ISACA in 2016, CISSP from (ISC)² in 2014, ACE from Access Data in 2012, and CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) from CompTIA in 2006.
