Sanmugathasan Prasanthan has diverse work experience in the IT industry. Sanmugathasan started their career as a web developer at Wijeya Newspapers Ltd in 2011 and worked until 2012. In 2013, they became a webmaster at Recharge Travels Ltd, where they developed an online web application and payment gateway system for tourism. In 2016, they founded IT Signature, a software developing company, with major clients such as myshop. lk and lankalaptophouse. Later, in 2017, they became the Chief Operating Officer of CyberArch Consulting Group, which is a security-focused consulting firm that specializes in information security and information forensics.

Sanmugathasan Prasanthan attended De La Salle College at an unknown time period and did not pursue any degree or field of study. From 1997 to 2008, they attended Agamathi Vidyalaya for their secondary education but did not obtain any degree or field of study.
