David Peterson

Director Of Technology And Security Compliance at Cyber Solutions

David Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Sergeant from 1992 to 1998. Following their military service, they worked as a Photographer at Peterson Photography from 2003 to 2007.

In 2012, David joined Forrest College as an Assistant Manager at the FC Computer Center, where they serviced and maintained the college's computers and network connections. David also assisted in the operations of a computer repair facility open to the public. From 2014 to 2015, they held the position of Manager, FCComp and IT Services, where they achieved IT operational objectives and determined IT service requirements for users and departments. David also taught computer repair classes and recommended adjunct faculty for computer and networking courses.

In 2015, David took on the role of Administrative Dean / IT Services Manager at Forrest College, where they managed operations across various departments, including Records, Facilities Maintenance, Admissions, Computer Services, and Campus Security. David was responsible for hiring, motivating, and evaluating staff members.

David transitioned to Cyber Solutions in 2017, starting as a Project Manager and later serving as a Sales Engineer from 2018 to 2019. David then took on the role of Service and Security Compliance Manager, overseeing a thirteen-member team of Information Technology Engineers and managing all aspects of the service team. David conducted security compliance audits for clients, including PCI and HIPAA.

Currently, David holds the position of Director of Technology and Security Compliance at Cyber Solutions, where they provide technical support, assists Project Managers with planning technical aspects of projects, and defines technical aspects of new product offerings.

David Peterson completed their education history as follows:

- From 2015 to 2019, they attended Western Governors University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science Information Technology—Network Administration.

- From 2012 to 2014, they attended Forrest College and obtained an Associate's Degree in AASBA/CRST.

- From 1987 to 1991, they attended Belton-Honea Path High School and obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, David Peterson also obtained several certifications:

- In April 2021, they received the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (Practical) certification from EC-Council.

- In July 2016, they obtained the CompTIA Project+ certification from CompTIA.

- In June 2015, they obtained the MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.

- In October 2014, they obtained the MSOS: Microsoft Word 2013 and Microsoft Office Specialist (Word 2013) certifications from Microsoft.

- In April 2014, they obtained the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA.

- In January 2017, they obtained the CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification from CompTIA.

- In January 2017, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ ce Certification from CompTIA.

- In February 2019, they obtained the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification from CompTIA.
