John Hamming is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering. Currently serving as the Sr Director of Mechanical Engineering at Cutera, Inc. since January 2022, John previously held a similar position at RED Digital Cinema starting in November 2009, where responsibilities included managing the design of cameras and related accessories. Prior to these roles, John was the Sr Mechanical Engineer at SeQual Technologies, leading the mechanical engineering efforts for a portable military oxygen concentrator. Additional experience includes positions as a Sr Mechanical Engineer at Quantum, focusing on advanced data storage tape drives, and earlier roles at Lightwave Electronics and Hot Snacks, Inc. John Hamming earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University between 1977 and 1981.
