Janine Chicourrat has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Janine began their career as a Front Desk Clerk at Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts in 1985. Janine then moved on to Kimpton Hotels, where they served as a General Manager, responsible for overseeing all operations within a 91 room hotel. After that, they joined Northstar at Tahoe as the Director of Lodging Operations, where they oversaw the operations of 265 privately owned homes and condos. In 1998, they joined Pebble Beach Company as the General Manager, where they managed all hotel operations, including restaurants and the rooms division. Janine'scurrent position is Managing Director at Portola Hotel & Spa, where they have been since 2008. In this role, they oversee the operations of a Four Diamond hotel with 379 guest rooms and suites, meeting space, a spa, and various amenities.
Janine Chicourrat started their education journey at San Diego State University from 1984 to 1986, where they studied Business Administration and Management, focusing on general studies. Janine then transferred to City College of San Francisco and completed their education from 1986 to 1988. Here, Chicourrat pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degree in Hospitality Administration/Management.
