Neil MacInnis has a diverse work experience in the fields of product management, applied biomechanics, movement science, sports biomechanics research, and teaching.
Neil'smost recent role was as a Product Manager at Curv Health, where they have been since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager of Applied Biomechanics from August 2020 to May 2021, and as a Movement Scientist from November 2019 to August 2020.
Before their time at Curv Health, Neil worked at St. Francis Xavier University. Neil'sroles there included being a Sports Biomechanics Lab Research Assistant from May 2016 to May 2017. In this role, they conducted research on the influence of club and shaft design on golfing performance, and analyzed subjects' interactions with the ground during the golf swing. Neil also served as a Biomechanics Tutor from September 2016 to April 2017, a Guest Lecturer from January 2016 to April 2017, and a Teaching Assistant for Quantitative Research Methods from September 2015 to April 2017. As a Guest Lecturer, they delivered lectures on the application of Newton's laws in biomechanics and taught a quantitative research methods course on validity and reliability. As a Teaching Assistant, they provided support to students by grading assignments and addressing their queries.
Neil MacInnis obtained their Master's degree in Biomechanics from McGill University, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University.
