Maria Marco Arias is a seasoned professional in the field of pharmaceutical research and development, currently serving as Team Leader for API Generic R&D at AMRI since January 2016. Previous roles include Project Leader at Gadea Grupo Farmacéutico, where Maria focused on developing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients from laboratory to industrial scale. Maria's earlier experiences include positions as a Research Chemist and Postdoctoral Researcher, with research concentrated on synthesis and design of chemical derivatives and active compounds. Maria earned a Licenciatura in Organic Chemistry from Universidad de Oviedo and holds a Ph.D. in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry from the same institution under the guidance of José Barluenga.
