John Guandolo is an experienced professional in executive leadership training and corporate security consulting, currently self-employed since August 2023. As the founder and former president of Understanding the Threat from March 2012 to August 2023, Guandolo organized communities to combat local corruption. Guandolo served as an auxiliary sheriff's deputy at the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office, educating deputies and officials on threats from international movements. A former FBI special agent, Guandolo created the first training program on the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic doctrine. Guandolo has also authored several books on Islam and its perceived threats to America, and has a background in music as a songwriter in bands since 1985. Guandolo holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and completed a Lincoln Fellowship in American Government and Politics at the Claremont Institute.
