Aleksandar Milicevic has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Aleksandar currently holds the position of Founding Engineer at Cubist since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Microsoft in various roles. Aleksandar served as a Principal Software Engineer from August 2022 to September 2022, where they made significant contributions to designing and implementing a new build system. Aleksandar also served as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2019 to August 2022, leading various technical areas related to Linux process substitution, filesystem virtualization, process sandboxing, process containerization, and multi-phase caching. Before that, they held the position of Software Engineer at Microsoft from August 2015 to March 2019.

Earlier in their career, Milicevic worked as an Alloy Master Guru at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from an unspecified start date to May 2015, and as a Ph.D. student from August 2008 to May 2015. Aleksandar also had research internships at Microsoft Research in 2011 and 2009.
