Jeff Vaes began their career in 2003 as a Korporaal at Belgian Defence. In 2015, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer and a Junior .Net Developer at constructiv.be. From 2016 onwards, they worked as a Team Lead & Lead Frontend Developer, Software Developer, and Junior .NET Developer at Cubigo, a fully customizable and integrated platform for Senior Living communities. In this role, they were responsible for increasing staff efficiency, improving workflows, fostering resident empowerment, and enabling family involvement.

Jeff Vaes attended Thomas More University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2015, studying Computer Science. In 2014, they obtained a Cisco CCNA 1 certification from Cisco. In 2017, they completed a Mobile Web Specialist track from Udacity, as part of a Google Developers Challenge Scholarship.
