Ashok Sharma is a seasoned environmental and social (E&S) expert with extensive experience in managing environmental issues in infrastructure projects. Currently serving as Chief E&S Officer at Cube Highways and Transportation Assets Advisors Pvt. Ltd. since April 2022, Ashok previously held the position of Head-E&S at the same organization from August 2015 to July 2022, overseeing identification and management of E&S issues aligned with IFC standards for various transportation assets in India. Ashok's prior roles include serving as Climate Change Expert/Advisor for the Ministry of Environment & Climate Affairs in Oman, where responsibilities included policy formulation for climate change, and as Principal Environmental Consultant at Mott MacDonald Group. Other notable experiences involve leadership positions at Halcrow, Feedback Ventures, Sir Owen Williams Innovestment Ltd, Consulting Engineering Services India Private Limited, and the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute. Ashok holds a PhD in Applied Chemistry, an MSc in Chemistry, and a PGPM in Financial Management.
