Nathan Reem is a skilled plant trait scientist with extensive experience in plant biology and genomic research. Currently serving as Plant Trait Scientist II at CTC - Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira since April 2024, Nathan has previously held positions such as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and the Boyce Thompson Institute, where work focused on crop improvement and metabolic engineering in solanaceous species. At Benson Hill, Nathan developed innovative CRISPR-based gene expression control methods, leveraging machine learning models and multiomics datasets. An early career included roles as a Plant Tissue Culture Research Associate at Chromatin, Inc. and internships at DuPont Pioneer in maize and soybean breeding.
