Scott Stratton

Vice President and General Manager at CSW Industrials

Scott Stratton has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Scott began their career in the US Army, where they served as a Platoon Leader and eventually became a Company Commander. After leaving the military, Scott joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate, where they conducted turnarounds and post-merger integration projects for various companies.

Following their time at McKinsey, Scott worked at Oldcastle as a Vice President/General Manager, leading the turnaround of a $21 million concrete products company. Scott implemented lean manufacturing practices, resulting in increased gross margin and reduced headcount.

Scott then served as the COO of Cobblesystem, where they reduced production costs and secured a significant product distribution deal. Afterward, they became the General Manager of Anthony & Sylvan, a position they held for two years.

Scott's career in the elevator industry started at Schindler Elevator Corporation, where they held roles such as Branch Manager/Integration Manager and Area Manager. Scott achieved high operating margins and increased customer satisfaction during their time there.

At thyssenkrupp Elevator, Scott held various positions, including Branch Manager and District Vice President. Scott was responsible for P&L leadership, sales, operations, and administration.

Currently, Scott Stratton is the Vice President and General Manager of the Engineered Building Solutions Segment for CSW Industrials Inc. Scott leads three operational companies and oversees their performance.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a focus on driving results, and expertise in turnaround and operational improvement strategies.

Scott Stratton attended Culver Military Academy from 1988 to 1990 for high school. Scott then went on to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Environment from 1990 to 1994. After completing their undergraduate education, Scott pursued further studies at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management in 1998. Later, they attended the University of Gothenburg from 1999 to 2001, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in International Business.
