Peter Riederer has extensive experience in the field of renewable energy, particularly in geothermal and heat storage activities as a researcher and project manager at CSTB since November 2001. Additionally, Riederer developed virtual laboratories for testing solar thermal systems and heat pumps, as well as a district energy simulation environment, Dimosim. As the president of pi-thermie since April 2020, Riederer focuses on innovative energy concepts while conducting research part-time. Since July 2014, Riederer has also contributed to energy efficiency research at Efficacity, developing the district simulation platform Powerdis. Riederer’s academic background includes a PhD in Energy from MINES ParisTech and Technische Universität Dresden, along with various degrees in mechanical engineering and energy from institutions such as La Rochelle Université and the University of Stuttgart.
