Jimmy G. is an experienced consultant and advisor specializing in technology analysis and policy, currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Technology Analysis to RAND and a Nonresident Fellow at the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation. In January 2024, Jimmy G. will take on the role of Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Previously, Jimmy G. held the position of Vice President of Global Policy at the Semiconductor Industry Association, where leadership in trade policy and the formulation of the CHIPS & Science Act were key accomplishments. Additional experience includes roles at the United States Information Technology Office, Information Technology Industry Council, Cisco, and APCO Worldwide. Academic credentials comprise a B.A. in Political Science, East Asian Studies, and Chinese Language from Ohio University, complemented by a certificate in Advanced Mandarin Chinese from Harbin Institute of Technology.
