John Gianakas has extensive experience in the grocery and retail sectors, currently serving as the Sr. Director of National Merchandising at C&S Wholesale Grocers since April 2012. John's previous roles include VP Center Store Sales at Piggly Wiggly Carolina and a series of executive positions at BI-LO, LLC, where responsibilities spanned Category Management and Brand Marketing. Early career experience includes serving as Category Director at Ahold Retail. John Gianakas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology and Chemistry from Rutgers University - Newark, completed between 1979 and 1982.
