Rajat Malhotra has extensive work experience in strategy and risk management. Rajat started their career in 2007 as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan and then moved on to CRISIL Global Research & Risk Solutions, where they worked as a Research Analyst and later as a Senior Research Analyst. In 2011, they joined Jubilant Agri & Consumer Products Ltd. as a Manager and eventually became a Senior Manager. Since 2017, Rajat has been associated with Crystal Crop Protection Limited, where they have held various positions including Deputy General Manager, General Manager, and currently, Associate Vice President of Strategy and Risk.

Rajat Malhotra completed their MBA in Finance from IBS Hyderabad between 2005 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Rajat has also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd. Rajat also obtained an MS Project Planning Fundamentals certification from Knowledge Woods in 2012. Recently, in April 2022, Rajat completed a certification titled "Exponential Organizations" from Growth Institute.
