Daniel Floreani has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 1994. Daniel began their career as a Professional Officer at DSTO, where they researched packet radio networks and their interconnection to ATM networks. Daniel then moved to JORN as a Design Authority in 1996. In 2000, they joined Cisco Systems as a Consulting Architect, Solutions Architect, and Systems Engineer. During their time at Cisco, they provided strategic advice to customers and specialized in space networking, defence networks, mobile networking, and commercial satellite networking. In 2004, they became an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia. From 2015 to 2016, they were an Enterprise Solutions Architect at Cryptyk Inc., where they worked on blockchain for enterprise security. Finally, from 2016 to the present, they have been a Director at Flocom Consulting Pty Ltd, where they specialize in network architectures, enterprise architecture consulting, and strategy.
Daniel Floreani's education history includes obtaining a PhD in Communications from the University of South Australia between 1991 and 1996, a B.Sc. B.E(hons) in Elec Eng, Physics and Maths from the University of Adelaide between 1985 and 1990, a Diploma in Company Director from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2007, a Mastering Business Analysis, BABOK from DDLS in 2013, TOGAF 1 & 2 from The Open Group in 2012, ITILv3 Certification from DDLS in 2012 and a Matric from St Ignatius College between 1978 and 1984.
