David Nelson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in manufacturing and product development across various sectors, including aerospace and defense. Currently serving as a Senior Design and Manufacturing Engineer at Cryoport since July 2023, David previously held significant roles at Applied Medical, Arrowhead Products, and GKN Aerospace, where expertise in managing manufacturing processes and improving design for manufacturability was applied to high-stakes projects, including NASA's next generation manned space program. Prior positions included consulting as a Manufacturing Engineer for TOOTHFAIRY ISLAND LLC and serving in engineering roles focused on carbon seat production and assembly at Reinhold Industries and American Challenge, demonstrating a consistent track record of enhancing productivity and reducing costs. David holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and a BA in Metal Fabrication from California State University, Long Beach.
