Daniel Sim is a seasoned financial analyst with extensive experience across multiple companies within the APAC region. Currently serving as a Financial Analyst at The Economist since June 2022, Daniel oversees businesses in the region. Prior to this role, Daniel contributed to financial planning and analysis at Google for APAC Devices and Services and sales partnerships from June 2021 to June 2022. Daniel's earlier experience includes three years at Lazada, where responsibilities encompassed finance transformation, change management, and quantitative analysis within the Regional Finance Excellence team, as well as managing financial processes for Marketplace Finance SG. Daniel began a career at Blue Water Shipping as a Finance Executive from January 2016 to December 2017. Academically, Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Murdoch University and a Diploma in Business Administration from Nanyang Polytechnic.
