Alfred Johnson has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Alfred is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Crux, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Alfred also co-founded and served as the CEO of Mobilize from 2016 to 2021. Alfred worked at Clara Lending as the Head of Sales & Head of People from 2015 to 2017.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Alfred worked at BlackRock as a VP of Financial Markets Advisory, specializing in financial modeling, liquidity management, and distressed funds. Alfred also served as an Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Water Resources for the Government of Sierra Leone, focusing on improving electrification in the country.

Alfred has extensive experience in the public sector, having been a Senior Advisor for Financial Markets and a Special Assistant for the Financial Crisis Response Team at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Alfred also worked at the Executive Office of the President in the White House as a Special Assistant to the White House Chief of Staff.

Early in their career, Alfred was a public speaking instructor at Stanford University and served as a Regional Field Director for Obama for America, managing a team and volunteers during the primaries. Overall, Alfred Johnson has demonstrated a wide range of skills and expertise in finance, entrepreneurship, and public administration.

Alfred Johnson's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Stanford University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. In 2012, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and earned a degree in General Management with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. Alfred also completed a short course in Alaska Mountaineering at NOLS in 2012. In 2013, Alfred briefly attended the Harvard Kennedy School. More recently, in 2021, they completed an Executive Education Certificate Course in Blockchain Strategy at the University of Oxford. Additionally, Alfred participated in a Semester At Sea program with ISE in 2007.
