Thiago Coelho is a seasoned professional in systems engineering, with extensive experience in the autonomous vehicles sector and aerodynamic engineering. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at Cruise since February 2023, Thiago previously held several key positions at General Motors from July 2017 to February 2023, including Engineering Group Manager for Autonomous Vehicles Systems and lead for the Autonomous Vehicles Subsystems Technical Review Board. Prior roles at Bombardier Aerospace and Embraer involved critical contributions to flight dynamics, safety assessments, and aerodynamic model development for various aircraft. Thiago holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, completed in 2007.
