Matteo Sismonda is an experienced professional in technical program management, currently serving as Director of Technical Program Management for AI and Robotics at Cruise since May 2019. In this role, Matteo leads core software teams focused on AI research, autonomous vehicle software, embedded systems, and product engineering. Prior to Cruise, Matteo held key positions at Waymo as Lead Technical Program Manager, at X, the moonshot factory as a Technical Program Manager, and at Google in cloud deployment and program management. Matteo's early career included a leadership position at Italdesign Giugiaro within the Volkswagen Group and a technical consultancy role at Xerox Premiere Partner Coram Srl. Education includes a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and additional studies in Mechatronic Engineering at Technische Universität Darmstadt.
