Mark Cutler is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and robotics sectors. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Volley Automation since January 2021, Mark previously held several key roles at Kitty Hawk from September 2015 to January 2021, culminating in leadership positions on special projects and the Flyer electric aircraft initiative. Mark's background includes significant contributions as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems, focusing on real-time reinforcement learning and mobile robotics. Earlier professional experiences include mechanical design roles at SpotterRF, L-3 Communications, and Corning Incorporated, where innovative engineering solutions were developed. Mark holds a PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from MIT, as well as a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
