Charlie Matlack is an experienced professional in the field of engineering, with a focus on safety metrics and autonomous vehicle performance. Currently serving as Manager II of Safety Metrics Policy at Cruise, Charlie has successfully grown a team of engineers and developed critical models for safety and human behavior. Previously, as Systems Engineering Tech Lead, Charlie led the launch of Cruise's grocery delivery program, achieving high completion and on-time rates. Charlie also co-founded and served as CEO of PotaVida, where innovative solutions for global health were created. With educational credentials including a Ph.D. and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, Charlie has a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of engineering.
